Jennifer Swan is an experienced patent attorney whose practice centers on the enforcement and defense of patent rights. She brings extensive experience representing companies in complex patent litigation in life science and pharmaceutical matters, including work on behalf of innovator companies in Hatch-Waxman proceedings. She also advises life sciences startups on strategic and business-critical matters.

Jennifer has experience in federal district courts nationwide, including in New Jersey, Delaware, the Northern District of California, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Eastern District of Virginia, and the Northern District of Illinois. Her experience extends to appellate advocacy, with numerous appearances before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, as well as involvement in proceedings before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Jennifer served as a law clerk to the Chief Judge (ret.) of the Federal Circuit and in the Northern District of California. She has contributed to several important developments in patent law, including matters involving joint infringement and the written description requirement under Section 112. Her experience also includes interference proceedings in federal district courts, proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), and matters before the Federal Trade Commission and the International Trade Commission.
