Hanna Petro advises clients on corporate transactional matters, with a focus on the aerospace and defense and technology sectors. Drawing on a decade of prior experience in national security and international affairs, Hanna brings a nuanced understanding of the complex strategic environment that shapes these industries.

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Hanna spent eight years at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), where he supported critical intelligence and defense missions. His work at NGA informs a deep appreciation for the intersection of business and government—an insight that continues to guide his legal practice.

Hanna was an evening student at American University, and, while pursuing his legal degree, worked full-time in the intelligence community. Prior to his government service, Hanna worked as a researcher and translator at a renowned themed entertainment company, contributing to global cultural projects.
