Hogan Lovells advises Andera Partners on mezzanine investment in Austrian exceet Card Group

Press releases | 25 February 2026

Led by Frankfurt partner Dr. Christoph Naumann, global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised French Andera Partners, a leading European private equity investor, on a mezzanine investment by its Andera Acto V fund in exceet Card Group, a leading provider of secure card solutions and digital identity products, headquartered in Kematen in Tirol, Austria, with subsidiaries in Germany, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Belgium and Switzerland.

The transaction was structured as a mezzanine financing, a hybrid form of capital combining elements of debt and equity and providing the exceet Card Group with additional financial flexibility. The investment marks an important milestone for Andera Partners, representing its entry into the German-speaking region (DACH). It also aligns with Andera Partners’ broader investment strategy of supporting innovative companies beyond France and across Europe.

Hogan Lovells provided comprehensive legal advice to Andera Partners on all aspects of the transaction. The team led by partner Dr. Christoph Naumann regularly advises national and international companies on complex and innovative financing structures at the interface of corporate and financing law, and provides legal support in the implementation of sophisticated cross-border private equity projects.
