Our services in the field of energy regulation include, among others: advice on the processing of authorisations, permits, concessions and other enabling titles to carry out activities in the field of energy, dialogue with the main national and EU regulatory bodies and with the rest of the competent national, regional and local administrations, defence in administrative proceedings (inspections, sanctions, conflicts, settlements, etc.), promotion of legislative proposals and drafting of amendments, legal assistance in contentious-administrative proceedings in all instances, both against administrative acts and against general provisions such as, for example, orders to update remuneration parameters.

We also have extensive experience in M&A transactions with an energy component. Our services include, among others, the structuring of transactions, considering the main commercial, regulatory, financial and tax aspects of the energy sector; review of NDAs, NBO, BO; due diligence reports; negotiation and drafting of contracts (including, but not limited to, SPAs, JVAs, EPCs, MOs, and Management Agreements); advice on the different phases of pre-acquisition and post-integration; and the resolution of disputes between contractual parties.

The Madrid office has a team with a high specialization in contentious-administrative appeals. We defend our clients before all bodies and instances of the contentious-administrative jurisdiction.

We have extensive and accredited experience before courts and tribunals of any instance of the contentious-administrative jurisdiction: Courts, Central Courts, High Courts of Justice of the Autonomous Communities, National Court and Supreme Court. We also have experience before the Constitutional Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union.
