Jinisha Patel

Jinisha focuses on structured finance and represents investment banks, asset managers and investors in a range of structured finance transactions, focusing primarily on CLOs and asset-based lending facilities.

Jinisha has been working on CLO transactions since the resurgence of the European CLO market a number of years ago and has advised on numerous public CLO transactions, warehouses and related transactions such as the establishment of originator retention structures and retention financings. In addition, she advises on the EU regulatory aspects of U.S. CLOs, including risk retention and transparency requirements.

Jinisha was also seconded to the legal structured finance teams of a leading investment bank and a leading European hedge fund manager.

Jinisha was shortlisted for the Securitisation Rising Star of the Year award at the GlobalCapital European Securitization Awards 2025.

Jinisha’s recent significant engagements include:

• Representing BNP Paribas on the first Direct Lending CLO from Ares in Europe.                               
• Representing BNP Paribas on the first Middle Market Private Credit CLO in Europe.                            
• Representing Credit Suisse on the first CRE CLO in Europe since the credit crisis.                            
• Representing arrangers and CLO managers on European CLO 2.0 transactions.                             
• Representing CLO managers on compliance with EU risk retention.

She is admitted to practice in England and Wales.
