Ashley's practice focuses on antitrust clearance and analysis of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), particularly those involving multi-jurisdictional investigations and second requests. She also has experience in nonmerger antitrust investigations, litigation, and counseling. Ashley has represented clients in matters before the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC), state Attorneys General, and various U.S. federal courts. During a secondment with Verizon Communications, Ashley served as in-house counsel, advising on various antitrust matters.
Ashley is a thought leader both within and outside the firm. She co-authored an antitrust compliance treatise published by Bloomberg Industry Group, and she has written articles published in Concurrences, Law360, and The M&A Lawyer, including an article that was nominated for a Concurrence Antitrust Writing Award. Ashley is also active in the Antitrust Section of the American Bar Association where has served in several leadership roles, including Vice Chair of the Corporate Counseling Committee, Vice Chair of the Women.Connected Committee, and as the Young Lawyer Representative to the Compliance and Ethics Committee. Ashley has also served on the Law360 Competition Editorial Board. She has been recognized in Best Lawyers, Antitrust Law, “Ones to Watch" and as a Rising Star by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association.
Before joining the firm, Ashley was an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of a major international law firm.
