Evan Weller is a special counsel in Cadwalader’s Capital Markets Group, focusing on commercial mortgage-backed securities. He represents investment banks and financial institutions in their roles as issuers, underwriters, placement agents, and loan sellers in both public and private offerings of mortgage-backed securities.
Evan was included in the 2023, 2024 and 2025 editions of the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for Securities/Capital Markets Law.
Evan received his J.D. from Washington University School of Law, where he was a senior editor on the Washington University Law Review. He received his M.B.A. from Olin Business School with a platform in Corporate Finance and Investments, and received his B.S. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
