Chris regularly counsels clients on the regulatory aspects of securitization and structured finance, focusing on the evolving implications of the U.S. bank regulatory capital rules and the Dodd?Frank Act. He has published extensively on these subjects and has authored multiple comment letters on behalf of clients and industry associations concerning proposed rules under the Dodd?Frank Act, Regulation?AB, and the bank regulatory capital framework.
A frequent speaker at industry conferences, Chris is active in the American Bar Association’s Securitization and Structured Finance Committee. He routinely undertakes high?profile projects for the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), the Structured Finance Association (SFA), and other trade groups. In addition, he serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at New?York University School of Law, where he teaches “The Law of Securitization.”
Chris earned his J.D.,?cum?laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he was an Associate Editor of the University of Illinois Law Review, and his B.A. from Northwestern University. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and the States of New?York and Illinois.
