The German Electronic Securities Act - latest developments

On Wednesday, 12 June 2024, at 6 p.m. CEST we will be holding this event in our Frankfurt office and also online for those who cannot join in person. We are delighted that Dr. Joachim Schelm, Associate General Counsel at Deutsche Bank, will attend as guest speaker.

While the German Law on Electronic Securities (eWpG) initially only covered debt instruments, its scope has been broadened to electronic shares. Legal uncertainties remain, including the interplay with registers and inherent limitations. Our seminar aims to provide an overview on those legal challenges and potential solutions to overcome those challenges.

As with the other sessions of our HL Digital Finance Dialogue series, the session will take place in our panoramic Frankfurt office (and alternatively online).

Hogan Lovells International LLP takes over the flat-rate taxation by § 37b EStG for the onsite participants.
