Press releases | 05 February 2026

Led by Frankfurt partner Maximilian Broermann global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised energy software provider Volue, the leader in electrification software, on the acquisition of British software and infrastructure provider Quorum.

For Volue, the acquisition represents a strategic entry into one of Europe’s most dynamic and advanced energy markets. The move combines Quorum’s deep UK market expertise with Volue’s comprehensive electrification software suite spanning data and forecast, trading, optimisation and planning, asset operations, and distribution.

Hogan Lovells has provided comprehensive legal advice to long-standing client Volue through all stages of the transaction process.

“The transaction reflects the ongoing digitalisation of the European energy market. Our team was able to draw on its extensive experience in cross-border technology and energy transactions, and we are pleased to have once again supported Volue throughout this strategic step”, says Maximilian Broermann.
