Digitalizing the Future of Energy: Hogan Lovells advises Volue on acquisition of HAKOM
Led by Frankfurt partner Maximilian Broermann, global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised Volue AS, a leading technology provider in the field of the energy transition and a portfolio company of Private Equity company Advent International, on the acquisition of the Austrian software developer HAKOM.
HAKOM is a technology leader in time-series management for the energy industry. Its innovative PowerTSM® technology provides a software platform for managing, analyzing, and processing time-series data collected at regular intervals (e.g. electricity consumption, temperature, or sensor readings) and enables the recording and processing of large datasets within critical infrastructure for the energy transition.
Through this acquisition, Volue enhances its solutions portfolio for energy providers across Europe and strengthens its position as a leading provider of cloud-based software solutions in the global energy sector. The integration of HAKOM's technology enables Volue to respond even more effectively to the specific needs of electricity suppliers and to further drive the digital transformation of the energy industry.
The team, led by partner Maximilian Broermann, is highly experienced in advising on international M&A transactions, particularly for private equity firms and their portfolio companies, and offers deep industry expertise in the energy and digital infrastructure sectors.
